Chris joined Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos in 2014. He concentrates his practice in Trusts & Estates and Tax Law including estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate, elder law as well as business succession planning. Chris has an interest in helping clients navigate through the various tax and financial issues surrounding their estate planning needs. This includes the preparation of wills, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies as well as revocable and irrevocable trusts among other estate planning techniques such as lifetime gifting and preparation of corresponding gift tax returns, business succession planning, and business entity formation.
He also advises families and fiduciaries throughout the various stages of estate and trust administration, including Probate Court filings, accounting and valuation of estate and trust assets, post-mortem tax planning, estate tax return tax preparation, representation before taxing authorities, and asset distribution. Chris also serves as a Trustee for some of his clients’ trusts.
In addition to his law degree and law license, Chris has a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in taxation as well as a CPA license. He is active in the local community with a number of professional organizations. He is a Past President of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County. Chris volunteers on the Ambassador Committee for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, serves as a Corporator for the Worcester Art Museum, and serves as an associate member of the Town of West Boylston Zoning Board of Appeals. He is also a member of several other local professional organizations.
