Art has been practicing law since 1990. His legal practice includes tax, estate and business planning, elder law, and trust and estate administration. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. Prior to 1990, he worked over 10 years for large international accounting firms in the audit and tax departments. He has served as an arbitrator for FINRA (formerly NYSE & NASD) including as chair for over 20 years.
Art graduated summa cum laude from Rider University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University in 1981. Art holds two law degrees. He received a J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University in 1984 and a L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University in 1989. Art is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association where he was the past co-chair of the Tax, Trusts & Estates Section. Art previously worked as a Certified Public Accountant and currently is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Worcester Economics Club and the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County where he was a past president.
